What Is Feetle?
Feetle is a four-letter word ladder game with one fixed destination: FEET. Start with the word on the board and build a chain of valid words, changing one letter at each step. The challenge is finding a short route. The joke is how far you will walk for feet.
Unlike Wordle, Feetle does not ask you to discover a hidden answer. You can see the destination from the start; you have to connect your starting word to it.
How to Play Feetle
- Read the starting word and enter a new four-letter word in the empty row.
- Change exactly one letter in the same position. Keep the other three letters where they are.
- Submit and keep building new rows until your next word is FEET.
SEED → FEED → FEETTwo changes. Two moves. Feet acquired.
Orange tiles mark letters that already match FEET, but they are not locked. You can change them again if your route needs it. There is no timer, and you can undo your latest word.
Feetle Daily and Unlimited
Daily: one shared walk
Everyone playing this site’s Daily gets the same starting word for the UTC date. The next puzzle arrives at 00:00 UTC. Finish today’s walk to see the Next Feet Drop countdown: your next foot appointment is already booked.
Unlimited: more words, same feet
Feetle Unlimited lets you start as many rounds as you like. Choose Easy for a shortest route of 3–4 moves, Normal for 5, or Hard for 6–7. Difficulty describes the shortest possible route, not a limit on how many steps you can take.
Unlimited draws from 252 selected starting words and avoids recent repeats. Daily uses 90 different puzzles per cycle before repeating. This is The Dles edition, with its own word list and daily sequence.
Short Walks. Questionable Dedication.
Your score is the number of letter changes: the starting word is free, and the final step to FEET counts. Best is the shortest route in this game’s word list. Extra shows how many steps you took beyond it; undo removes a step from your final route. Hint use is shown separately and is not refunded by undo.
A shortest finish earns PEAK FOOTWORK. Take the scenic route and you might unlock WILL WALK FOR FEET, DOWN BAD FOR FEET or another foot title. Extra steps still count as extra steps. The game simply respects your commitment.
Open Scoreboard for your last 50 finishes. Daily, Unlimited and friend challenges are labelled separately. Best footwork compares extra steps, with hints breaking ties, so different starting words are not ranked by raw move counts.
Use Brag about it to copy your result and achievement without revealing the middle words. Dare a friend copies a link to the same starting word under the same word-list and rules versions. They get their own walk.
Feetle FAQ
How do I get a Feetle hint or answer?
Each walk has two hints. A hint first points to a letter position; asking again on that same step reveals a suggested replacement letter. Hints do not type the word for you. After finishing, choose See your footwork to compare your route with one shortest solution. These hints and solutions apply to this site’s puzzles and word list.
Why does Feetle reject my word?
Each entry must have four letters, appear in this game’s selected word list and change exactly one position from the previous word. A real English word can still be absent from the list. Rejected entries do not add a move.
Can I play Feetle on my phone?
Yes. Play in your browser with the on-screen keyboard, or use a physical keyboard. There is no app to install and no account to create.
Where are my progress and scores saved?
Progress and the last 50 completed walks are saved in this browser. Daily, Unlimited and friend challenges keep separate progress. Records do not automatically sync to another browser or device; clearing this site’s browser data removes them.
